Joe Clark, was elected eight times to the House of Commons of Canada, became Prime Minister of Canada, also served as Foreign Minister, Minister of Constitutional Affairs, and Acting Minister of both National Defence and Justice. Mr. Clark retired from Parliament in 2004.
He is president of Joe Clark and Associates, an international consulting firm based in Canada, vice-chairman of the Global Leadership Foundation, a member of the Inter-American Dialogue and Professor of Practice for Private-Public Sector Partnerships in the Institute for the Study of International Development at McGill University in Montreal.
Mr. Clark is active in governance and business in the developing world, and was co-founder of an innovative Canadian company which won the concession to harvest the forests beneath Volta Lake in Ghana. He serves on the boards of diverse international companies .
Mr. Clark was a founding board member of the Pacific Council on International Policy and served as Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Cyprus.
